Located just off the market square, via Church Lane, the church is the focal point of the village.
There has been a church on the site of the present church of St Andrew in Folkingham since the 12th century. The church we see now dates back to the 14th century (restorations were carried out in the 19th century). It has early Decorated style arcades, a mainly Early English chancel and a Norman pier where there was an opening into a chantry chapel. The church houses the remains of stocks and a whipping post.

The church has a vaulted porch over which is a room with a fireplace. Among the most noteworthy features is the 15th century elaborately carved wood chancel screen.

The church is dedicated to St Andrew because of the influence of St Gilbert of Sempringham whose great medieval monastery is only a few miles away.
St Andrew’s Church has been a very important centre to the community for hundreds of years, and to this day still serves the village with regular worship, weddings, baptisms and funerals, as well as concert evenings, recitals and art and history exhibitions. It is a hub of interest to locals, and visitors from far and wide.

The churchyard contains the Commonwealth War Graves of two First World War soldiers.
